Starlooks Custom Starbox

HAPPY NATIONAL LIPSTICK DAY!!!!!

Starlooks Cosmetics is a wonderful cosmetics company that have cruelty-free cosmetics. They are dedicated to 'providing PRO-level products, outstanding customer service, and affordable pricing.'

On their website, Starlooks claims to be a PRO quality, HD makeup line and can be compared to Sephora, M.A.C, Makeup Forever and other brands that you'd find in a department store. Unlike the makeup brands that you'd find in a department store however, their makeup starts at just $12.

Starlooks has two monthly boxes that you can subscribe to. The Looksbook Membership is a monthly 'book' filled with fashion-forward cosmetics from the Starlooks line. They are curated specifically to be used as a 'look'.  Boxes could also include accessories and tools needed to achieve the look for the month (think brushes). You'll also get a tips/tutorial booklet on how to apply the products like a pro. The service is just $12/month with free shipping. You can also subscribe for a 3,6, or 12 month term by emailing them, or going to http://starlooks.com/products/usa-pre-paid-looksbook-membership

The second subscription box that Starlooks offers is the custom box. In this box, you are able to choose three *Perfect Size* cosmetics (about 3/4 of a full size product) and three fashion/lifestyle gift cards of your choice. This subscription is also just $12/month.

The custom Starlooks Starbox is what I currently have a complimentary subscription to. I received an email around the first of the month to make my selections for the month of July. I chose an eyeliner, a blush and a lip gloss. I love the fact that these are literally the perfect size to put in my purse or clutch. I work as a Brand Ambassador, and like to keep makeup on me for touch-ups.

The first item that I chose was a lip gloss named 'Mad Crush'. It's a gorgeous rosy mauve color. I wasn't sure that it would look right with my skin tone since it looked like a bright pink on the model, but it works wonderfully. It's not sticky and smells like vanilla. It's only available in the *Perfect Size* and is on their site for $9.00

For my second item, I chose an eyeliner because I always seem to lose an eyeliner pencil. I had to purchase a new one just last week because I misplaced the other billion eyeliners that I had. I've worn this quite a few times since I received it, and it lives up to it's name of being long wear, I wore it to the county fair when it was around 85 degrees and it didn't budge. This is in the color Noir and is $10.25 on the Starlooks website. It's also only available in the *Perfect Size* option.

The last item I chose was a Skin Perfecting blush in the limited edition color 'Rose Gold'. I love anything with the words 'rose' and 'gold' so I knew that this would be a beautiful color and a great choice. I'm so happy that I chose this. It looks gorgeous in sunlight. It's only available in *Perfect Size* and is on the site for $14.50

In the Starlooks Custom Box, you also get to choose 3 lifestyle/fashion gift cards. You can choose from different clothing companies, jewelry stores and makeup from the Starlooks line. The gift cards I chose were: a $20 card for the Scheana Marie line for Starlooks, a $15 card for The Laboratory (www.shopthelaboratory.com) and a $20 card for the Starlooks line itself.

I love these cosmetics and love how they really are the 'Perfect Size' to stick in my bag when I'm on the go. It's a great, inexpensive service, and now you can get the products that you like instead of getting something that you'll never use.

**I received this box complimentary of Starlooks. All opinions are honest and are my own however. I chose the colors, the swatches are also my own.**

New Adventures!!

I was offered a temporary (and hopefully more permanent) position as a brand ambassador for a new site called Beautydem. This site is made for users to find inspiration, create sets featuring beauty products. When someone purchases a product from a set, the creator of said set makes a 5% commission from the sale. It's fun and easy and completely free to join. You can make as many or as few sets as you'd like. This is one that I made, featuring sweet perfumes that smell delicious. It features Prada's 'Candy', Jessica Simpson's 'Fancy' and a few others. http://beautydem.com/set/595 Join me on www.beautydem.com !!!!

September 2016 DegustaBox!!

A couple months ago, as I was browsing subscription boxes, I came across a promo code for DegustaBox. DegustaBox is a monthly subscription service featuring 10-15 products. You don't know what you're getting until you open the box! It's $19.95 a month, but you can use this link for $10 off. https://www.degustabox.com/us/register/ref/KAITLYNA-C84 or if you'd rather, just use this code. KAITLYNA-C84 The box was packed full of yummy goodies and I was so excited about eating all of it. I've read a few reviews of this box and they were all pretty positive. The first item, as seen above are PopCORNers. Gluten-free, GMO verified, vegan chips in the flavor Carnival Kettle. They're delicious and taste just like kettle corn. They are flat like a chip, but they're popcorn. Normally I try to stay away from popcorn because it messes with my teeth, but now I can have my popcorn and eat it too! Sorry that was so (pop) corny 😂. I can't stop eating them! These a...

August 2015 Starlooks LooksBook

Starlooks started the LooksBook as a way to introduce subscribers to up and coming trends. The LooksBook is only $12 a month, and includes 3 perfect size cosmetics, as well as 3 lifestyle gift cards to featured brands, and a booklet showing you the best way to use your new makeup.   This month's LooksBook theme was 'Resort' and features three items perfect for summer. It also included three gift cards. The gift cards are: $15 to Torrain (recycled bags with a global conscience), The Laboratory (clothing and jewelry) and $50 to Versa swimwear.   The first item is a water eyeshadow in the color Aqua. It's almost a crème eye shadow that looks like it could be amazing with the right skin tone. Unfortunately it just didn't work for me. I'll try it later on top of a white base and primer, but by itself, it just doesn't show up all that well.                     ...
