Chomps Snack Sticks

I was offered an opportunity to review Chomps snack sticks. It's basically a healthier and better alternative to Slim Jims, and in my opinion, they taste much better too. They come in three flavors of Crankin Cran, Hoppin Jalapeno and Original. They're made with 100% grass fed beef, gluten-free and don't have any nitrates or nitrites, no synthetics and they're high in omega 3's and CLA and they're infused with celery juice to extend shelf life, with no added sugar or preservatives. I'm not normally one for spicy foods, in fact, I try to stay away from it. So of course, I was slightly scared of trying the Crankin Cran which has habanero peppers and the Hoppin Jalapeno. However, I tried both and am absolutely addicted to them. They're not spicy to the point that you feel like your mouth is on fire, but there's just enough kick to excite your taste buds. These would be a great snack to just throw in your bag and go, and it's healthy for you too...

September 2015 LooksBook!!!!

This month's Starlooks LooksBook theme was 'Revival'. The colors featured in this box were gorgeous. Dark enough for Fall but brighjt enough to keep you holding onto warm weather.. If you live somewhere cold (like me), you want to hold on to warm weather for as long as possible.   The first item in the LooksBook is Agave, which is an eye-shadow duo in a dark red and a green that look gorgeous when blended together. Unfortunately for me, I kind of have hooded eyes, so you can't really see the effect. But I tried my best!     The second product is Flora, which is a beautiful, dark green mascara. Now normally I would never wear a mascara that's anything but black, but I wore t...

August 2015 Starlooks LooksBook

Starlooks started the LooksBook as a way to introduce subscribers to up and coming trends. The LooksBook is only $12 a month, and includes 3 perfect size cosmetics, as well as 3 lifestyle gift cards to featured brands, and a booklet showing you the best way to use your new makeup.   This month's LooksBook theme was 'Resort' and features three items perfect for summer. It also included three gift cards. The gift cards are: $15 to Torrain (recycled bags with a global conscience), The Laboratory (clothing and jewelry) and $50 to Versa swimwear.   The first item is a water eyeshadow in the color Aqua. It's almost a crème eye shadow that looks like it could be amazing with the right skin tone. Unfortunately it just didn't work for me. I'll try it later on top of a white base and primer, but by itself, it just doesn't show up all that well.                     ...

So Many Reviews That Need to Be Done, So Little Time

I know I haven't posted in awhile and you can thank the fact that I'm in the middle of moving.. There isn't any WiFi at the new house yet, so I can only post when I'm at my moms house. I still need to do reviews for the July Hawaii Box, July Bulu Box and I'm going to post a quick review of the makeup that I won in a beauty group on Facebook. I'll probably end up posting all of these tomorrow.. or maybe tonight. Thanks for being patient! Kaitlyn

Cooler Can Monthly

Cooler Can Monthly launched in June of 2014 and has quickly grown to a popular and successful business. The idea came from it's founder, Jon Marcher, while he was barbequing in the backyard of his home with his friend's dad who told him about a whole drawer devoted to koozies, and so the idea was born. I contacted Jon about reviewing Cooler Can Monthly and he emailed me back saying it sounded like a great idea and he'd send me July's koozie along with several from the past. I got this month's koozie which features the Virginville Hotel in Virginville, PA. I love that the Cooler Can Monthly site has info about the featured koozie instead of just sending them without a backstory.  " The Virginville Hotel is the last remaining “public house” in a town that once had three such places where residents could eat, drink and be merry. Started in 1885, the establishment is located in a town with a unique, but quaint name. While the name might get laughs from outsi...

Beautykind Review

Received a package today that I'd totally forgotten about from Beautykind.. I assumed that it was one of the many that they've canceled and gave up on ever receiving it. They sent the wrong brush cleaner and I hate the rollerball. So the whole order was a bust. =( But I'm going to try to redeem the perfume by layering it over other sweet smelling perfumes.. Anywho, on to the products. Chocolat Mat Rollerbal First item and the one I was really looking forward to receiving is the Chocolat Mat rollerball by Masaki Matsushïma. It's described as 'mysterious and comforting'.. At first I wasn't impressed by it, but I'm slowly falling in love with it. It's a scent that I probably wouldn't pick up in-store, but I bought it online without knowing what it smelled like. The initial scent is strong and odd, but when it mellows out, it smells like chocolate and roses..  The scent notes are: Base Notes: Coconut and musk Heart Notes: Lush cacao and da...
