Bose Soundlink Revolve+ Bluetooth Speaker

Last week I was sent the brand new Bose Soundlink Revolve+ to review. It has bumpers to protect it from being knocked over and it's water resistant so you can set it by the pool for that upcoming Summer bash. I use it to help motivate me to clean and I love that it's loud enough to drown out my awful singing. It has a handle on the top of the speaker for easy transportation, and it won't break if you knock it over. The battery lasts up to 16 hours, and only takes about 4 hours to charge,  so you don't have to be the lame guy (or girl) who kills the party because the music stopped. You can skip to the next song by double pressing the multi function button, or you can summon Siri or Google Now by holding it down. I use the Bose Connect app on my phone to control the volume and skip to the next song if I'm not near the speaker. I love the sound quality that I get from the Revolve+. It's loud and clear, there's no static or skipping due to a faulty connection....

Bose QuietControl 30 Noise Cancelling headphones

Several months ago, I was given the opportunity to review QuietControl 30 Noise Cancelling wireless headphones from Bose. I'd been searching for a new set of headphones for quite awhile and was thrilled to be chosen to try a brand new product. They're great and work wonderfully. They have a setting that allows you to decide how much of the outside noise that you want to block out. You can skip to the next song and pause, as well as make calls from the headset. You can wear the headphones around your neck, allowing you to be hands-free. I love how fast they charge, and how long one charge lasts. They come with different sized ear pieces that you can switch out so that they fit inside your ear comfortably, and include a nice travel case. It has a Bluetooth range of up to 33'. I wore these while on a phone call and taking the trash out. There was no static, I didn't lose the call and I didn't hear any traffic which helped me hear the call better. These retail for $29...

September 2016 DegustaBox!!

A couple months ago, as I was browsing subscription boxes, I came across a promo code for DegustaBox. DegustaBox is a monthly subscription service featuring 10-15 products. You don't know what you're getting until you open the box! It's $19.95 a month, but you can use this link for $10 off. https://www.degustabox.com/us/register/ref/KAITLYNA-C84 or if you'd rather, just use this code. KAITLYNA-C84 The box was packed full of yummy goodies and I was so excited about eating all of it. I've read a few reviews of this box and they were all pretty positive. The first item, as seen above are PopCORNers. Gluten-free, GMO verified, vegan chips in the flavor Carnival Kettle. They're delicious and taste just like kettle corn. They are flat like a chip, but they're popcorn. Normally I try to stay away from popcorn because it messes with my teeth, but now I can have my popcorn and eat it too! Sorry that was so (pop) corny 😂. I can't stop eating them! These a...

New Adventures!!

I was offered a temporary (and hopefully more permanent) position as a brand ambassador for a new site called Beautydem. It features Prada's 'Candy', Jessica Simpson's 'Fancy' and a few others. http://beautydem.com/set/595 Join me on www.beautydem.com !!!!

Chomps Snack Sticks

I was offered an opportunity to review Chomps snack sticks. It's basically a healthier and better alternative to Slim Jims, and in my opinion, they taste much better too. They come in three flavors of Crankin Cran, Hoppin Jalapeno and Original. They're made with 100% grass fed beef, gluten-free and don't have any nitrates or nitrites, no synthetics and they're high in omega 3's and CLA and they're infused with celery juice to extend shelf life, with no added sugar or preservatives. I'm not normally one for spicy foods, in fact, I try to stay away from it. So of course, I was slightly scared of trying the Crankin Cran which has habanero peppers and the Hoppin Jalapeno. However, I tried both and am absolutely addicted to them. They're not spicy to the point that you feel like your mouth is on fire, but there's just enough kick to excite your taste buds. These would be a great snack to just throw in your bag and go, and it's healthy for you too...

September 2015 LooksBook!!!!

This month's Starlooks LooksBook theme was 'Revival'. The colors featured in this box were gorgeous. Dark enough for Fall but brighjt enough to keep you holding onto warm weather.. If you live somewhere cold (like me), you want to hold on to warm weather for as long as possible.   The first item in the LooksBook is Agave, which is an eye-shadow duo in a dark red and a green that look gorgeous when blended together. Unfortunately for me, I kind of have hooded eyes, so you can't really see the effect. But I tried my best!     The second product is Flora, which is a beautiful, dark green mascara. Now normally I would never wear a mascara that's anything but black, but I wore t...

August 2015 Starlooks LooksBook

Starlooks started the LooksBook as a way to introduce subscribers to up and coming trends. The LooksBook is only $12 a month, and includes 3 perfect size cosmetics, as well as 3 lifestyle gift cards to featured brands, and a booklet showing you the best way to use your new makeup.   This month's LooksBook theme was 'Resort' and features three items perfect for summer. It also included three gift cards. The gift cards are: $15 to Torrain (recycled bags with a global conscience), The Laboratory (clothing and jewelry) and $50 to Versa swimwear.   The first item is a water eyeshadow in the color Aqua. It's almost a crème eye shadow that looks like it could be amazing with the right skin tone. Unfortunately it just didn't work for me. I'll try it later on top of a white base and primer, but by itself, it just doesn't show up all that well.                     ...

So Many Reviews That Need to Be Done, So Little Time

I know I haven't posted in awhile and you can thank the fact that I'm in the middle of moving.. There isn't any WiFi at the new house yet, so I can only post when I'm at my moms house. I still need to do reviews for the July Hawaii Box, July Bulu Box and I'm going to post a quick review of the makeup that I won in a beauty group on Facebook. I'll probably end up posting all of these tomorrow.. or maybe tonight. Thanks for being patient! Kaitlyn

Cooler Can Monthly

Cooler Can Monthly launched in June of 2014 and has quickly grown to a popular and successful business. The idea came from it's founder, Jon Marcher, while he was barbequing in the backyard of his home with his friend's dad who told him about a whole drawer devoted to koozies, and so the idea was born. I contacted Jon about reviewing Cooler Can Monthly and he emailed me back saying it sounded like a great idea and he'd send me July's koozie along with several from the past. I got this month's koozie which features the Virginville Hotel in Virginville, PA. I love that the Cooler Can Monthly site has info about the featured koozie instead of just sending them without a backstory.  " The Virginville Hotel is the last remaining “public house” in a town that once had three such places where residents could eat, drink and be merry. Started in 1885, the establishment is located in a town with a unique, but quaint name. While the name might get laughs from outsi...

Beautykind Review

Received a package today that I'd totally forgotten about from Beautykind.. I assumed that it was one of the many that they've canceled and gave up on ever receiving it. They sent the wrong brush cleaner and I hate the rollerball. So the whole order was a bust. =( But I'm going to try to redeem the perfume by layering it over other sweet smelling perfumes.. Anywho, on to the products. Chocolat Mat Rollerbal First item and the one I was really looking forward to receiving is the Chocolat Mat rollerball by Masaki Matsushïma. It's described as 'mysterious and comforting'.. At first I wasn't impressed by it, but I'm slowly falling in love with it. It's a scent that I probably wouldn't pick up in-store, but I bought it online without knowing what it smelled like. The initial scent is strong and odd, but when it mellows out, it smells like chocolate and roses..  The scent notes are: Base Notes: Coconut and musk Heart Notes: Lush cacao and da...

Restful Sleep

I ALWAYS have trouble sleeping.. Falling asleep and staying asleep are something that I have struggled with for years. When I finally get to sleep, I toss and turn. When I wake up, I'm drowsy all day. So when I saw this campaign, for a supplement that swears that it can help me sleep better, I applied right away. I took one every night for two weeks. Within a week I noticed that I was getting to sleep faster and didn't wake up a billion times at night. I'm so happy I finally found a product that helps me sleep without having to take Nyquil or Benadryl. I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start my day. According to Dr. Yan Ping Xu, a certified practitioner of Oriental medicine and board certified herbalist, your SPLEEN is key to a good nights sleep. It's believed in traditional Chinese Medicine that it's your spleen's chi that's off balance. The ancient herbal blend that the Chinese have been relying on for thousands of years is called Yi-Fang. ...

100% Pure Argan Oil by Radha Beauty

I love Argan Oil. I use it in my hair, which keeps it from breaking and it makes it soft and shiny. I also mix it in with my body lotion to keep my skin soft.  100% Argan Oil has many benefits. I use it at night before I go to bed, after I wash my face. I rub it on my feet and put socks on before I go to bed. I wake up with soft feet, and I don't have to worry about cracked feet. The oil absorbs quickly and doesn't leave the 'oily' feeling behind. I've been using Argan oil for years, but this product is perfect. It's a large bottle and a little goes a long way. Three ways that it can be used are: As a night time moisturizer-Use a drop or two and apply it to your face and neck. You can also add a drop to your face, and using a tapping motion, apply to the areas around your eyes. Argan Oil has vitamins A and E, which can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. To prevent stretch marks: Warm up a couple of drops of Argan Oil in your hands, and rub it o...

Project 7 Gourmet Mints and Gum

While perusing the check out lane candy in Meijer, I came across a packet of 'Front Porch Lemonade' flavored gum. Intrigued, I decided to buy it. I always like trying new candy and gum. Besides, who could pass up that name? There are 12 pieces in the re-sealable foil packet. The front of the packet says 'Great tasting and world changing'.  My first thought of this gum was that it tasted great. However, like most gum, it lost its flavor after just a few minutes. Serving size is 2 pieces, but with how fast it lost flavor, I had to chew 3. After 15 mins of chewing the gum, I had to spit it out because it got an awful, bitter fake sugar taste. I really want to try the other flavors, but I'd probably only buy them if I was in a pinch. I'll probably pick up another flavor just to see if the flavor pay off is any better.     Project 7 is a specialty mints and gum company dedicated to making the world a better place. Project 7 is dedicated to seven causes which ...

Dead Sea Mud Mask by Pure & Essential Minerals

**I was sent this mask for free to review from BrandBacker**  I love face masks and usually don't have any problem with them. But I've noticed that as I've gotten older, my skin is more sensitive. The first issue I had was with a popular brand of face mask. It said it was supposed to 'tingle'. Burning like that I'd imagine came from the devil himself, so that didn't last long.  When I was chosen to do this review, I was excited to finally find a mask that would melt my face. It smelled great and didn't look like it would soon be hellfire on my face. I noticed a 'tingle' as soon as I put the first swipe on my forehead. I ignored it thinking that maybe I was just being paranoid.  Nope, not paranoid. I, like a good blogger, dutifully applied a 'medium' layer of the hellmask to my face. I was determined to give it a full review. Unfortunately after several minutes, I realized that I would be unable to leave it on for the full suggeste...

Review of Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub

**I received Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub in Ocean Breeze from BrandBacker to review. ** I LOVE body scrubs. They always leave my skin soft and smelling great. I loved (almost) everything about this product. I loved the fact that it was an 11 oz jar. It will last me a very long time considering I use a different product every time I shower. I also liked the fact that it had a screw on lid.  I did have to stir it up when I opened it because, as expected, all the salt had settled on the bottom. What I didn't like was the fact that it leaked.. a lot. If you tilt the jar any way at all, it leaks. I also didn't like this particular fragrance. To me, it smells like a mans cologne. Now, with ocean breeze scent, I wasn't expecting bright and floral or fruity, but I was hoping it would just be a fresh scent. This smells like something my step-dad would spray..  In saying this, if they have different fragrances, then yes, I would purchase this in the future.  Thankfully...

What's Been Going On..

I know I haven't been posting as much as I should be, but that's all about to change. I'm moving! Like ten minutes down the road.. with my best friend into my boyfriends house.. Weird right? She and  I had planned on moving in together anyway, and this way we have a house instead of an apartment. We just have to pay all the utilities (which stinks of course) plus rent.. which also stinks. The house is paid off, but we have to pay rent to his aunt, which doesn't really make sense to me. AND the house needs work, so that should mean no rent payment right? Anywho, I've been busy trying to pack stuff up, which means I'm wayyyyy behind on reviews. I promise I will try to get to all of them in the next couple of weeks. Especially since I just lost the job that I just got hired for last week.. It was all a bunch of bs really.. I was promised so many hours, then as time went, they got lower and lower.. Pay wasn't good either. So I'm back to being mostly jobles...

Ulta Haul!

Most of the posts on this blog are all about the products I receive to review.. Well, not today! This post is all about what I bought on beautylish.com and at Ulta. For anyone that doesn't know, Ulta is a huge makeup/beauty store. Like Sephora, but it also carries 'drugstore' brands, like Maybelline or L'Oreal. It's got brands such as Too Faced and Urban Decay and NYX as well. Beautylish.com is a website that has TooFaced, Sugarpill and several other wonderful makeup brands.  I paid with Affirm, which lets you pay off your bill in 3, 6 or 12 months. I'm slowly getting into the 'higher end' of makeup, after being a strict buyer of only 'drugstore' makeup. My first palette of the 'high end' variety was Boudoir Eyes by Too Faced (bought on beautylish.com ). It's my go-to palette now and I love it, even though I've never been one for neutral colored eye shadows, but the colors are so pigmented and pretty, I just can't help i...
